Get to Know Your Town
As you settle in, please feel comfortable reaching out to your elected Town officials and Town employees whenever you have questions. Many have lived in Pound Ridge or worked for the Town for years and understand that moving to a new community—and particularly to a home on a larger parcel of land—can come with plenty of questions.
They can help point you in the right direction on everything from finding your well and septic system to understanding when a permit is required for work on your home. They can also provide guidance on matters such as fencing, property improvements, safety, and other questions that naturally arise as you become familiar with your new home.

Stay Connected and Be Prepared
Because Pound Ridge is a more rural, suburban community, some of our infrastructure and utilities may not be as consistently reliable as those in more densely populated areas. Power outages, downed trees, and occasional road closures can happen, particularly during severe weather.
For that reason, we strongly encourage all residents to sign up for the Office of Emergency CodeRED emergency notification system. This service allows the Town to reach you by text, email, or phone with important information about emergencies, road closures, power outages, severe weather, and other time-sensitive events.
Staying connected is one of the easiest ways to stay informed and prepared.
