Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed Regulation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Pound Ridge will hold a public hearing on May 5, 2026, commencing at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as time allows, to provide an opportunity for public comment on proposed amendments to the   Zoning Code to regulate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). 

The public may attend either in person at the Town House, 179 Westchester Avenue, Pound Ridge, or via Zoom videoconference.  To obtain the login information needed to participate via Zoom, contact the Town Clerk (email townclerk@townofpoundridge.gov or call 914-764-5549) no later than 12:00 noon on the day of the public hearing.

Please note that comments will be limited to three (3) minutes each.  All those wishing to be heard will be heard.

The full text of the proposed legislation is posted to the town website at townofpoundridge.gov.  It is also available in the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours for public inspection and copying.
